BBC iPlayer gets social facelift

By Jonathan Riggall on 6 September, 2010

The BBC is one of the world's most respected broadcasters and has been pretty much at the forefront of media on the web. It's just revamped its excellent iPlayer, an app that lets UK users watch any BBC TV program, and worldwide users listen to all BBC radio programs from the last 7 days.

You can now create a BBC profile, which then allows you to connect iPlayer to Twitter and Facebook. You can then easily share programs you like with your friends and followers. It's all really user friendly, and the experience is much nicer than iTunes' Ping, the new Apple development that I loved so much. There's a huge range of programs on the BBC iPlayer, from music and sport to documentaries and drama. If you've never tried it, you're missing out! Click here to take a look.
