Bang With Friends has released iOS and Android versions of their Facebook ‘dating’ app. Like the web version, it connects with your Facebook account, and allows you to select from your friends list people you would like to get to know better.

None of your friends will know you selected them unless they use the app and also select you. The mobile version adds some new features. You can choose to ‘hang’ with friends, as well as ‘bang’, which adds a – slightly – more subtle angle to Bang With Friends. You will only receive a notification if you an a friend choose the same option, not if one of you is down to ‘hang’, and the other to ‘bang’.

You can also now un-select friends, which is impossible on the web app. The company says this is to allow you to correct accidental use of the app. The app is easy to use, you swipe across to browse your Facebook friends, and swipe up if you want to hang with someone, and down to select bang. You can filter your friends by gender.

Bang With Friends claims to have over 900,000 users, with over 200,000 successful matches, but we’re skeptical of whether an app which takes advantage of your Facebook friends lists so openly will get much broader acceptance. There’s definitely something creepy about it, and while the company promise they are anonymous and discreet, you have to place your trust in their hands that that stays true.
