Exclusive Give Away: 2 licenses for Curio worth $149

By Nick Mead on 29 July, 2010

If you've tried any of my suggestions for Mac alternatives to Microsoft OneNote but still aren't impressed, then I should add that Curio should definitely have made the list.

Curio is an incredibly detailed and rich brainstorming and note taking application that helps map-out your ideas in stunning detail. Curio's features a free form interface and tool kit that allow you to place items anywhere you want including notes, pictures, audio and even video. The only limits are your imagination as you can place elements in any position which gives it a distinct advantage over similar programs that restrict you to text boxes or certain areas. You can even give your brainstorm plans or notes their own unique look thanks to a variety of backgrounds and styles such as note paper, graph paper style and linen paper texture for example.

Even better, we've got 2 free licenses worth $149 for Curio Professional version to give away.

All you have to do is tell us in a few sentences why you need Curio to help you and how it would help you in your daily life. Take a look at our Decloner giveaway competition for an idea of what we're looking for. Don't forget to leave your e-mail address in the comment e-mail address field so that we can contact you.

Good luck!

A brainstorming and notetaking app. Yep, this is one I'll definitely be needing. See, I just graduated from college with the frustration of never having found a halfway decent alternative to MSWord on Mac. An oddball combination of Stickies, TextEdit and various Services-related clippings simply left me in a daze. I thought things were going to be a bit easier this upcoming year, but instead, I'm enrolling in three Certificate Programs at college at the same time, all related to film production, which means script coverage, financial resources, contact information, story ideas, timelines, and all other manners of crazy things that need an open idea-capturing environment. I'm also looking into a Paralegal Certificate Program come late August, and trying to enter a graphic novel competition. It'd be nice to have my sanity back :]

I have a mind that looks somewhat like a cluttered attic. By day I am the IT for a small non-profit, and basically my own boss. Keeping organized is...well...a challenge for me. By night I run a music label, write music, and DJ all over the place. Trying to keep up with all of that, while simultaneously trying not to esplode...tough. Anything that can both keep me organized and allow for some creative thinking without any esploding...WIN! In other words: Do. Want. ;)

Dear Nicolas This is why I would really appreciate a license of Curio: At work I am using OneNote made by Microsoft (as we all know). It saves me all the time and I love catching information, links and of sorts quickly and being able to move them around and arrange as I like. At home I prefer the Apple stuff, means my MacBook. Something similar to OneNote that could keep me organized the same way I enjoy it at work would be a big blessing. As far as I know only Curio has the free form database style that lets you be creative and jolly and at the same time keeps things in place. So if you want to make me happy..... you know how..! :-| ---> :o) Cheers Chris
