fring has released an update of its popular iPhone chat service, allowing iOS 4 users to make two-way video calls. The new version also adds multitasking, meaning you can keep the app open in the background and get notifications of when your buddies come online.
Other enhancements include a new Social Stream, which lets you view Twitter feeds and status updates from Facebook in a neat chronological list view. You can even use fring to post an update to Facebook and Twitter simultaneously. Version 3.2.0.5 of fring makes improvements to the address book too, allowing you to manage your buddy list more effectively, including the ability to merge contacts.
If you haven't tried fring yet, I recommend you check it out as it offers a neat way to assimilate your contacts from Skype, Facebook, MSN, Google Talk, and the like. You can instantly who is online regardless of which social network you're friends with them on, then chat via IM, make free calls, or perform video calls.

I wouldn't recommend Fring to anyone regardless the features they add. As I said in my own reviews, Fring is just not laid out right. The fact is all services it has still has the Fring logo instead of the service logo. On Android it just takes your contacts and adds it to your services rather than separate them. It's too messy to recommend to anyone regardless the platform. Much better to go with iPhone's Skype app.
And now Skype has been removed from fring's service. I prefer the genuine Skype app too, and don't really need all my contacts in the same place.
James you need to re-review Android Phone's Astro File Manager. Since I last wrote my user review they added ads which by enough complaints actually effects the effectiveness of Astro. I've seen plenty say the ads slow down Astro as well as I'm sure a lot have clicked on the ads by accident trying to use it. The rating should at best should probaby get 4 star if not a 3.5 star. I'd also strongly recommend reviewing Estrongs File Manager as an Astro File Manager alternative seeing as it still doesn't have ads and seems more responsive than Astro File Manager.
