Apple is playing Santa Claus again this year, issuing a series of free festive gifts via its 12 Days of Christmas app for iPhone – but only in Europe.
The app allows users to download a different free digital treat every day from 26 December – 6 January, directly from their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Like all good Christmas presents, the gifts will be a surprise until the day they are released. According to Apple, the goodies will include music, TV shows, ebooks, apps and even a free movie.
Apple seems to be saying “Humbug” to US iPhone owners, unfortunately. Just as it was last year, it looks like the 12 Days of Christmas app will only be available in a selection of European iTunes App Stores, including the UK, Ireland, and Spain.
