iTunes Updated to 10.1.2

By Jonathan Riggall on 28 January, 2011

Last night Apple released a relatively minor update for iTunes which, according to them, provides a number of important stability and performance improvements. In the US, it also adds support for Verizon iPhones.

Otherwise it's still the same iTunes 10, and the social app Ping hasn't been improved! It's still not very connected, still focused on selling you music and, most annoyingly, still recommends you connect with artists that have nothing to do with your iTunes library. Does anyone want to bet Ping will be gone by iTunes 11?

I really hope Ping last many years. I kind of like it. As a social network is not the best, but it just needs to get more "social", You can't do practically nothing but share the music you like. I hope for iTunes 11 we'll be able to share pictures and comments at least. iTunes ROCKS!!

I really like iTunes too, I think it's by far the best media manager around... I just think Ping is necessary and poorly implemented.
