Today we got a sneak preview of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013, following the release of the official debut trailer of the new version of the world’s second best soccer game.
Granted, the sight of Cristiano Ronaldo running along to a flamenco soundtrack doesn’t tell us much about how PES might be able to beat arch rival, FIFA Soccer. Despite the lack of clues in the video, though, there are some things we do know about Pro Evo 2013, based on what we’ve seen on the official PES blog.

It's widely rumored that Google will launch a Dropbox style online storage service this week called Google Drive offering users up to 5GB of free storage space. According to The Verge, concrete evidence has even emerged in Google Docs with a reference to transferring your documents to "Google Drive on the web". Added to a sudden 5GB increase in the storage space offered to some Google Docs users, it does indeed seem like Google is preparing to take on the likes of Dropbox and Micrsoft's SkyDrive.

On April 23, 1982, Sir Clive Sinclair introduced the world to the ZX Spectrum – a tiny computer that weighed just over half a kilo and connected directly to the TV.
Today, to celebrate the Speccy’s 30th birthday, we’ll show you how you can relive those magical days (or live them for the first time if you were too young then!)
A brief history of the ZX Spectrum
When it first launched in the UK, the Spectrum cost £125, so allowing for inflation, it would cost £310 (around $500) in today’s money. That’s about the same as an iPad!
Still, at the time it was a much more affordable option than an IBM computer and with its Z80 processor, 48KB of memory, graphics with a palette of 8 colors, and a single channel sound – it was the best system for videogames at the time (at least until the Commodore 64 came out).

Or: why I've finally switched to iPhone.
I've had my new iPhone for a couple of weeks now. It took me an hour or two to get my Google accounts and apps set up. Then I erased and reset my Nexus S. I haven't even thought about picking it up again since.
And so, it seems, my decision to go for an Android phone three long years ago (that's also three phones ago) now counts for nothing. In that time, I evangelized for Android, and probably helped convince a few people to opt for an HTC or Samsung over the 'ubiquitous' iPhone. But over the last 6 months or so, I found I was evangelizing less. I was starting to tire of Android and I was starting to covet the iPhones I saw around me. Here's why:

Although there's been no official word from Mozilla, Firefox 12 is now available to download for Windows and Mac. Since there are no final release notes, it's hard to say exactly what's changed so most of the known changes come from the Firefox 12 beta release. Mozilla claim there are 85 changes in all but the most notable is that Windows users will no longer get pestered by a User Account Control pop-up every time the browser updates. Also, the HTML5 media controls have been updated to provide a full screen button.

Here’s a round-up of the best mobile apps we tested on Softonic this week. Check them out now!
Virtual Villagers: Origins

If we’re honest, we’ve all spent hours in front of a mirror pretending to be the leader of a village. Now you don’t need to daydream anymore, because this iOS app puts you in the hotseat of your own settlement. The idea of Virtual Villagers: Origins, based on a popular PC game, is to take a group of villagers and motivate and train them to build up the village. Your little pueblo will keep growing even when you’re not playing the game!

Blizzard Entertainment's fantasy/horror game Diablo III comes out on May 15th, and the beta version is open for anyone to play this weekend. You'll need to sign up for a free account and download the client, then you can get down to slaughtering demons!
The beta isn't massively long, but it gives you a taste of how the game has been improved. The general feeling I got was one of smoothness - Diablo III is really slick, and everything just seems to work as it should. The sound is excellent, and visually it manages to be dark enough while keeping everything clear.
Read on for a video of Diablo III gameplay.

In the eternal battle between Ninjas and Pirates, I would always say Ninjas win. But after getting some time to preview Deep Silver's Risen 2: Dark Waters' Treasure Island DLC I may have to re-think my position. Obviously Ninjas still win, but if the Pirates are like the ones in Risen 2: Dark Waters, then the battle may be much closer.
The Treasure Island DLC is free downloadable content if you pre-order Risen 2: Dark Waters.
I never had a chance to play Risen 2: Dark Waters before sitting down and experiencing two separate sections of the DLC. After the preview, my expectations of the RPG game are mixed. I like the idea of playing as a pirate, the skill tree, and variety of weapons and tools; but I don't know if the game is presenting anything new.

Incredibox is a free Garageband style interactive Flash website which allows you to make a cappella music with an animated group of beatbox singers.
It's very easy to use and the results are surprisingly good. It's been so popular with users in fact that at the moment, the server for the Incredibox site has crashed but keep trying and you should eventually be able to try it out for yourself.
