This List is a scrap. Mass Downloader is far more better than Free download Manager on slow connections. In My Opinion IDM stands 1st....
Is there any download manager with API to initiate the file download from other application, get the file downloaded details (like path, when it download started and download ended, etc...) Kindly suggest any download manager.....

u should use orbit who r voting here for idm. orbit is more faster than idm. and orbit has some functions which idm does not belong like online video recorder etc. and it is free and always will be.

I suggest yiu that dap is the fastest of all.
Flashget is the fastest! You just don't know how to use it! go to tools, options, download settings, speed and choose full speed download. It'll use up bandwith but will go FAST
